Lars and The Real Girl
Thats a movie. :)
I was supposed to get some work done, well, I did. Sort of. I rented some movies yesterday, it has been a while since I rent DVDs, wrong, I have never rent DVDs, someone does and I chose the movies I want to watch. Anyhow, it has been a while since this has happened. Junction 8 has got a new ezy video and I rented a couple yesterday.
Lars is a guy who likes to coop himself in his room and he doesnt like to interact. His elder brother who is the only family member left in this world has a pregnant wife who always try to get Lars to join them for meals. There is a girl named Margo, who likes Lars, and she's fun and cute. Lars doesnt interact nor is good at communicating so towards her advances, it was nothing but cold.
One day, he got himself a Love Doll. A doll who is anatomically correct, whose purpose was to satisfy those men with needs. A woman who doesnt talk. Its name was Bianca. He treated Bianca like she's real and his brother, Gus, got freaked out. They went to the doctor and the whole town played along. It was through Bianca that he eat with his family again. It was through Bianca that he joins his collgeaues. Bianca was a channel where people get to him.
Watch the movie if you want to know the ending. :) I am not sure though if you can accept this kind of movie because you might think the story is kinda far fetched and ridiculous. Its just sad because it is about this person who is terribly lonely and in need of companion and love because he doesnt react well to people. People is always asking him to hang out together but he simply just rejected them. He has no social life until Bianca comes along.
Lars remind me of someone. Someone I used to know. I dont know but the movie alone reminds me of this person. Well well...
Look what I did in the morning:-
 Its not that easy and in the end I have to seek help from the internet just to get this taipei presidential palace up. I call it Joanne's going-to-topple Palace. :) Going to put this on my office desk, the only thing I had from Taiwan on my desk the other time was this lao ah gong, which well, originally was a pair with another lao ah ma which probably got thrown away.
Since this is my first entry for 2010 so Lars and the real girl is pretty dark and emo right?

 John got the girls the devil horns while waiting for the fireworks to start at Taipei 101.

 I got a nagging from Boss. He doesnt understand why someone like me, who has spent a considerable amount of money on Lasik will go get a pair of spectables. Hiao mah~~~ HAHAHA!!!
 Last picture after spending 8 days out of Singapore. Taipei was colder than Hong Kong and Changi airport is way like hot. We were actually perspiring when we stepped in.
I will be flying off again with the girls in about 2 weeks time. After that, I think I got to start to restrain myself. :p People has been commenting that I have been flying alot and I have been telling them thats because I am out of love. I cant possibly use that forever and I think I will need to save up for more constructive things. Well, maybe flying to further places. :x Like Venice? Sounds good? HAHAHAH!!! Incorrigible. Ms XJ, steady lah, year end we go Venice!!! So romantic!!!
 On an entirely different note, no, no courage to stand beside the Queen's head. I spent most of my time out of there. This is the only picture I took there and I left. I waited for the rest in the bus. You know, you dont really need the walls to repent, you can do it in the bus.
Oh no, its monday on his way. I cant wait to set off. :)
