AT last, a monday that is not blue...
If you know me, you will know how much I dread going to work on Mondays. I simply turned BLUE. You know Violet in Chocolate's Factory? That is what will happen to Joanne on Monday, she becomes Vioanne and I wonder how you pronounce it.
Somehow, today was different! Early in the morning when I reached office, I received an email from someone who reads like this:-
Dear Joanne,
How are you doing? I hope you are enjoying your work at XXX.
I am planning to write a paper on the use of tracking devices, based on your UG thesis plus some info that I have collected later. I would like to put you as my co-author. Let me know if you agree with this. You need not do any work on this if you have no time. I will do all the writing.

!!! My first thought is OMG!!! You mean you google scholar for Ms Koh's name and you can find a paper with my name?!?! After that, I cannot breathe. (I know I am such weakling.) I tried to stay calm so that I will not start screaming in office for whatever reasons and I called Mr. BF although I know he should be sleeping because its a school hoilday today.
Me:Hellllooo!! Are you sleeping???
BF: Ya...
Me: XXXXX just EMAILED ME!!! *proceeds to tell him whole story*
I was shouting whispering or whispering shouting because I am so damn excited!
=) So i replied the email and tell him I am perfectly fine with the arrangement and will be happy to work on it. I dont know whatever that co-author means but I suppose it must be something good? He is really one good SUP and the whole afternoon I went daydreaming again (even though I have never ending meetings).
Where did my dreams went to? =) I dont know but the dreams were definitely trying to give my brain the possibility of a permanent head damage.
So exciting and later in the afternoon, its more projects coming in again. Argh...
