The days after Exam

And the conversation went like this:

A: Oh so you went to Macau? Business?
Me: No, I went there to be sick.
A: Haha, thats poor thing.
Me: Yeah, you bet.

I was sick, very sick. Just before I went, I was already coughing and when I finally reach Macau, I was down with fever and a very bad sore throat. I have not uploaded my own pictures yet, ya the lazy me but my colleagues were nice enough to upload theirs and pass it to me. Awww... So let the pictures do abit of the talking...
The budget terminal. Yeah, spoilt I am, I have never taken budget airlines before and I was late because I was the one dumbo who did not know where budget airline was. It was very simple without any thrills and a short trip would be fine because the seats was not comfortable and the plane has no entertainment at alll. So as to speak, I was sick and this does not bother me because I slept for the full 4 hours. =)
Beautiful picture TT has taken because I thought this picture is really nice. KM was asking if I bought my DS Lite and I go noooooooo and I zzzzzzzz again. Yeah, piggggging alll the way~
This is Singapore, I think because of the coastline, Macau has got a ugly coastline with brown murky water. Eeeew...
Reaching Macau!
Macau has got BIG hotels. The 2 hotels we were staying in has very big rooms and luxuruious bathrooms.

Yeah, greek mythology was the theme for my hotel so even the jackpots in the casino has greek ladies as theme. They even have free shows and its all run by the cacausians.
I was very sick, so sick that I was dozing off everytime and any where. Here's the proof:

I started to get feverish and I got into this daze and my throat hurts like hell. The next stop was St Paul's Ruins and I am never going to miss that so I forced myself to go.
Its weird how the streets always look different from Singapore's. The streets overseas are always very congested and narrow and they have boards hanging up there. Imagine typhoon 8 struck, in fact no need to imagine, when I was there, Typhoon 8 really struck us and the boards were swinging like mad and it was so dangerous walking under them. Being us, we were always grumbling incessantly how and why there was no Code of Practice to govern these people. Typhoon 8 is a story to be told in the next post.

Because of the POrtugese rule and stuff, the whole area of MAcao is struck with different architecture from different places and it is really pretty. I get pretty amazed with the colonial buildings in Singapore too but you know we havent got much left.
Up on St Paul's:
St Paul's Ruin in sight.

Yes, what is left is just this piece and behind, you have the crypt of the Japanese and Vietamese martyr who were killed. It was even speculated that this place was the tomb of the founder of this cathedral, Father Alexander Valignano. In the museum, there were a real painting left to depict the kill. I was so glad that I managed to make it there else it should be a shame to tell people that I have been to Macau but not to St Paul's!There are many famous cathedrals in Macau and they are all beautiful. I went to this and was made by my Boss to do a praying pose. Yeah, so rude of us and I will show you the picture soon.
Typhoon 8 hit the second day, trees were uprooted and false ceillings collapsed. I missed Typhoon 8 because I was hit be a real bad fever and I chose to stay in the hotel to rest. I slept the whole day and I missed Venetian because the initinary that day was to visit Venetian because it was the hot thing in Macau now. The rest was stuck there because of Typhoon 8 and I had food only at 10 in the night.
I called for room service but all the resturants were closed as all macau people head home so there I was, stuck in the hotel room watching the news reporting about the typhoon while the gang get stucked at Venetian. Boss had a friend who worked in Venetian and he has to weather the typhoon to get to them to bring them out of Venetian. By the time they got back and Ihad my dinner (that was the only meal I had for the day since dim sum at 7am), typhoon 8 has become typhoon 3.
I experienced Typhoon 3 at 10.30pm in the night and goodness the wind was so strong. Knowing Singaporeans, we are super excited about the typhoon. My colleagues were like mad about it and they threw themselves to the wind while I shivered in cold. I took a picture of it, of us in the wind with my hair like siao char bo and the guys kept jumping into the wind. They claimed the wind was so strong that they can be carried away by it. (-_-)'"
3rd day, we head our way to Hong Kong. =D Hong Kong is so much like Singapore and seriously, there are not much fantastic stuff but this time round, I did manage to go to places that I have never been to.
I will upload more pictures in the next post. =) I am sick, remember? Doc gave me 2 days MC after I came back. Yesterday, I had a very business meal with Bosses and his friends. Zzzzzz, it was all about investments and shares Adult talk... I disgress again but the meal came up close to $400++ and I kept thinking what I could have brought with it!!! Zzzzz, disgress again.
Time for bed.
Time for some nap. =) Enjoy your weekends!
